When creating a land suggestion this tool first attempts to classify your deck into one of three type: Aggro, Control and Mid. Since aggro decks can usually do with less lands than control decks, this step allows the tool to provide you with an optimized number of lands.
PRESS: If you touch the slice you can see the total number of suggested lands of the given color.

LONG PRESS: If you touch and hold the area outside the pie chart you can see the total number of suggested lands. This provides you with two numbers: Cards, and Safe Amount. Cards represent the number of suggested land, this number takes into account Mana accelerators. Safe Amount represents the suggested number without taking into account the Mana accelerators.

Mana Accelerators: During the estimation step we also take into account Mana accelerators. These then translate as a negative modifier which represent the number of lands you could remove.
Split Mana Cost Cards: As of version 9.2.7, the Suggested Land Distribution estimates colors and only uses the color in the split cost that matches the deck. If none of the colors in the split mana cost match your deck's colors then both colors are used in the estimation instead.
Once you have an initial suggestion if you press the Suggested Land Cards button, you can find a recommendation of dual lands based on the colors for your deck. This list can be further narrowed down buy format.
